Lamentations 3:22b, 23 and 24:

22 b, because his compassions fail not

23, They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.

24, The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

We all want to please God, and the Bible says, it is impossible to please God without Faith. (Hebrews 11:6) But, hope is also important, amen?
If you read Abrahams's account in Romans 4:18, it says, who against hope believed in hope.

When I come to a difficult situation, I have always laid a foundation of hope, and thru God's great grace, built faith upon it.

Just a few thoughts.

Praise be to our most Holy God!

Hi all,
Quick note to let you know that Valerie is doing much better and is on hospital rest until the babies come. Will be soon, 3 weeks at most. I've got at least 9people volunteering their time so far. I see God's hand moving in this daily. Praise Him!

Also, our computer is still working fine. No more freezes since I asked for prayer! I said when I prayed for it that anything that comes against me or my blessings has to get through Jesus first! It's wonderful to be in the shelter of His wings.

FSGTB,
Jen

Jen,
Thanks for the wonderful news about Valerie!

I came by today, to offer praise and thanksgiving to God, for living in a free country.
Praise God!
And thanks to the people that have given their lifes to make this country free. Let's always remember that freedom isn't free.

God bless America, is my prayer.

A short praise reprot...

On Friday evening we were on our way to have dinner with some friends, about 40 minutes drive up the highway.

We stopped to buy some flowers about 1/2 way to our destination. I then decided to buy some gas - w had enough, but I thought I should be sure - just in case...

As I drove away from the pumps, I realized I suddenly had no power steering. I don't think we had gone more than 5 yards, so I let the car coast into a convenient parking spot on the station forecourt. I soon realized that we (or at least the car) were not going anywhere - the main belt connecting all the electronic and power steering systems had jumped off their pulley's - it turned out that the tensioner pulley had disintegrated!!

Somehow, I didn't panic or become concerned. I just walked back to the station's service counter, asked for a copy of a phone book, called a friend who has a car repair workshop in the same city we were in (hoping - since it was 6:00pm already) that he was still working. He was. This friend is a spirit-filled believer, who attended Bible School with my wife and I, about 6 years ago.

He immediately offered to arrange to have the car picked up, promising that this would be taken care of by the next door towing company within an hour or two, and if we left the car keys with the cashier at the service station, with all necessary details, we could safely leave the car for him to deal with.

That was a huge relief - since I didn't relish the thought of us standing around fro hours until the tow truck arrived - that would have completely spoiled the rest of the evening!!

However, Abba Father had everything under control - our friends, as soon as I contacted them, offered to come and pick us up, and at the end of the evening, take us home again. We had a wonderful evening of good food and fellowship.

I think we lost less than 30 minutes in total!!

Sure enough, at 11:00 am the next morning my mechanic friend confirmed the initial problem and said it was all now fixed and I could come and get the car.

My eldest son, fortunately, was not working Saturday morning, so he (happily!) agreed to drive me back to pick up the car.

I think i was home by 12:30!!

I then considered what might have happened.... We could have been barreling down the highway at 100kph or more (that's 63 miles an hour for you US citizens). If we had broken down on the highway, we would have HAD to stay with the car until it was collected by a tow company, and we would not have been able to continue on to our friends for dinner.

I just want to give Father God a REAL thank you for taking care of us, and for Holy Spirit inspiring me as to what to do.

Uncle Bob gave his book to an atheist this week who proclaimed his total unbelief. Since my brother had been an unbeliever till about 13 years ago, he understood and asked him to do him a favor and just read 2 chapters. The man has already looked Bob up and told him he wanted to pay for it and order more.

Also, A. Catherine who's on the salvation prayer list, the one who just insulted Grandpa's pastor and said she didn't believe a single word in the Bible, is also reading the book.

I expect that God is doing a quick work in so many people.

To God be the Glory!

PS: Wilma, I started praying for the Holy Spirit to chase A. Catherine down as well!

Lori,
I'm agreeing with you, in prayer for many (claimed) to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
And that your Uncle Bob's book bring many into the Kingdom of God.

My boss gave me a stool to sit upon today. It may not seem like a big deal to some, but I'm giddy as all get out. This will help my legs incredibly.

Thank you Lord

Lori,
That is a blessing! And something that generally doesn't happen with Food Service positions. (or being a Clerk of any kind) Good news!

I'd just like to say, that I praise God today, for God's great gift of salvation! I want to go on record this very day, to praise the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, for the things they've done in my life and in other believer's life's.

And I also want to say that the devil is a liar! God made us to succeed in life! And by the power that worketh in me, I am a success in Jesus, my Lord and Savior. And you are, too! Praise God now and evermore!

And because He lives,
I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives
All fear is gone,
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living
All because He lives!

Amen! Praise the Lord!

Lots of praise to share!
1. Valerie's babies are doing really well and will be home tomorrow. No conditions or delays and only vitamins for meds. 2 girls will be on heart monitors, but only as a comfort measure for Valerie so she knows how they're doing. Also, God provided 20 people from church to help out!
2. We had safe travels to and from our family reunion last weekend. And we didn't lose track of the kids at the fair (I had them in bright orange shirts.) There are thousands of people milling around and we didn't use strollers this year, so I was on high-alert but all went well.
3. Friday night I broke a tooth and we weren't getting home til Sun. so I prayed for the Lord to keep the nerves covered and for no pain so I could get through the rest of the weekend. He did just that and I had no pain whatsoever the whole time. I really praised Him for that!
4. My mom has been having trouble with her "insides" beginning to head south. She's already had one surgery to tack things in place and her dr. said he could maybe do one more, but that's all the tissue could handle. It's only been 3 years since the first surgery and she's just 56 years old, so this recent development was really upsetting her and making life pretty miserable. She told me over the weekend that in the last week, everything seems to have moved back into place and she's not going to call the dr. now. I told her I had been praying for just that news! (Mom works at a nursing home and had the condition worsened, she would have likely had to retire. She's a truly gifted care nurse and lots of elderly folks get a regular dose of Jesus when she's on duty, so I'm so glad to know that the Lord is making a way for her to continue her ministry there.)
5. The little baby I mentioned, Elizabeth Grace, was allowed to go home today with her parents after tests showed that the PDA hole in her heart closed up. Now there's no immediate need for heart surgery and she'll get another exam in 4-6 months to see how the heart is doing. It's the right side that's affected, so praise the Lord for the good news and continue to pray that the next round of tests show a fully restored and healthy heart!

I think that's all for now. Will add others as I think of them.

FSGTB!

I want to offer unto God our praise, for keeping us in His care, in these times of uncertainity, and stress.

God is always there, and He always answers prayer.
Praise and glory be unto our God and King, now and for evermore!

So,
"until then, my heart will go on singing,
until then with joy I'll carry on, until the day, my eyes behold the City,
until the day, God calls me home."

And our homegoing may be much closer than some believe :)

May God bless you richly, is my prayer.

And keep looking up!
